see this...it's terence's blog entry......not that i say that his point is wrong......for me.....hindi dapat pinipinturahan ng maganda ang labas ng rpg......ung loob nya......yun.....it's uh!!!................ok....maybe u say this will be biased...oh well it is.....you may say....."ano naman ang alam ng nerd sa mga rpg??".......sorry........i do know a lot.....ok i don't play even a single one....but i know a lot!!!

let's enumerate.......fr back then till now....... red alert, warcraft, counter strike, grand theft auto,ragnarok, dota, gunbound, freestyle, rf, flyff, o2jam.....and many more.....thinking na pc lang yan.....a LOT more sa PS......it would take me forever to enumerate.......so how did i ever know???? my brother.....he've played every single one....not only playing....in some sense.....he've "mastered" them........so why do i complain???..........ok... i do think it's a BIG factor on what's happening to him now.....addict.....ruining his future.....it started out as a hobby, his grades were still ok...acceptable......but eventually it affected his studies..........first failing quizzes, then failing a perio, then having a red mark on the card......then taking summer classes just to pass....and eventually repeated......why??? because he's too addicted......he might be "studying"....staring at his notes, but i bet his thinking about his game......i don't disagree to what terence points out....that these games have moral lessons in them......but do you think the gamers care about the moral? do they even care to realize the moral in it? i do think that not even a percent of the total gamers realize the morals......what they care about is playing, winning, and getting over the "level" "things" maybe "money" of their friends.......hek.......it also make them impatient........true! it make them ignore their surroundings!........promise!.....they(at least he) gets furious if he is asked to do something while he's playing.....he would even get angry at the person on the phone looking for him, for he called at the "wrong time"..........he spend a great deal of money to play the game(or atleast nung nag R.O. pa cya......but still upto now he spends to play some of the games).........is it reasonable?? they even involve themselves to "illegal" trade.....they sell their stuff or characters in exchange of money...as in real money......they've earned more than a thousand for just one "thing".......is that good?? will that mold a person?? i don't think so....

i do believe education is important in one's life, i don't say don't play at all....i still do occasionally play some online games.....not those rpg's though..........it's all about balancing....there's time for play, there's time for studies....don't get over overwhelmed about all the "benefits" and "glory" in playing........set your goals....stick to them.......there's nothing wrong about playing, you truly might learn something from it.......but don't make these games your life.....sabi nga nila....lahat ng sobra masama.....promise......
